And we were treated to several pithy comments about politics. From Chic: "All politics is [BS]" (he's got that right!). From Sydney: she's glad there are politicians because they give lawyers someone to look down on (there's some truth to that, too). And Virginia thought the last decent man to run Britain was -- Margaret Thatcher (ok...). And Mrs. Noh described voting in her country: vote the government's way or else! Ruby described the link between showbiz and politics, and Birdie was going to the meeting of the "We Hate Hillary" (as in Clinton) club.

In tonight's long sketches, Trevor recalls the time he served as a decoy date for an old friend of his (Marcia Strassman) who was having an affair with a powerful senator (Nicolas Coster), and Fern takes on Jobie (Julie Kavner) in the race for condo association president.

There were several pungent observations throughout the episode, as well as several decent chuckles and one very good laugh (Trevor's present-day encounter with the aforementioned senator, a passenger on his flight).
