Favorite Tracey Ullman film performance: Sad to say, I've not yet seen any of her films... shoot me!

From Linda Granger struggling to land a plane on "VIP Lounge," (with cheesy lights flickering, a la early Star Trek special effects), to Ruby telling the nasty dog mounting her leg, "I haven't had a ride that rough since Bob Mitchum gave up drinking!" Tracey Ullman is a spectacular, one-of-a-kind talent. We became addicted to her HBO show. Sure wish we could reach her publicist... we'd love her to see our humor book for the over-forty woman. We have characters, too, from Dermabrasia, the beauty advice columnist, to Rex Marlboro, our machismo infomercial spokesman, and Dr. Edith Sharpe, our PhD fashion examiner. Meanwhile, we adore the show, this is a terrific web site, and we enjoyed reading about Andrew's career, too. Onward and upward!

When our old headmaster went out to see her in the states she sent a limo to meet him at the airport. Keep up the good work but to me you will always be the girl from our school that had a break and went to drama school.

Linda of NYC - Monday, June 06, 2005 at 20:35:59 (CDT)
Favorite Tracey Ullman character: Although characters like Chic and Noh Nah Ning make me laugh, I'd have to say my favorite is Kay Clark ... there is no character more pathetic yet likable.
Earliest memory of Tracey Ullman: I watched her show on Fox when I was a kid, and I distinctly remember laughing at a comment she made in one of her "Go Home" speeches when she talked about the women on the golf course asking if she was excited. She'd say, "No, I'm not excited, I'm 27! I should be at a punk rock concert or something!"
Favorite Tracey Ullman segment: I absolutely LOVE the one from her original show when she is a frustrated Broadway performer on a ledge. The cops ask what she hopes to accomplish by jumping and she says, "I'm finally going to make a big splash on Broadway!"
Favorite Tracey Ullman film performance: I loved her in "I Love You To Death" ... amazing American accent!
Your Theme Song: "They Don't Know" ... peppy enough?
Tracey Ullman has been amazing me for twenty years. I have always been so entertained and impressed by the way she can take real-life characters and transform herself into so many people. She is not afraid to take chances, and she has never let us down. Each performance just shows what an incredible talent she is, and how she has been able to overcome personal obstacles by poking just enough fun at the crazy people in this world to make us laugh. Thank you, Tracey ... Go home! (But don't stop doing what you do best.)

Favorite Tracey Ullman character: Kay ... She wins hands down ... most realistic portrayal of pathetic spinster ever!
Earliest memory of Tracey Ullman: I was six years old, buying Rodney Dangerfield's "Rappin' Rodney" single, when I spotted the single "Break Away" and thought, "Who's that crazy girl on the cover? I like her."
Favorite Tracey Ullman segment: It's a tie ... I love the one where she wins the lottery and doesn't share the millions w/her best friend (Julie Kavner) and meets her years later and leaves her a tip for 4 million. Then there's the one where she's a frustrated performer on a ledge, and when they ask what she hopes to accomplish by killing herself, she says, "I'm finally going to make a big splash on Broadway!" Hilarious!
Favorite Tracey Ullman film performance: "I Love You To Death" ... "I'm Italian, I like to eat!" ... "Well, I'm Yugoslavian, I don't like to cook!" LOL
Your Theme Song: "They Don't Know About Us" ... it's even on my iPod.
Tracey Ullman is the most gifted sketch comedienne I can think of. That woman has the ability to morph into anyone ... male or female! I love the fact that she can take observations from real life and transform them into such brilliant performances. She never ceases to amaze me, and I hope she was right on her HBO special when she said she hopes she's only halfway done ... there is so much more, so many more people for her to bring to life!

I haven't seen a lot of Tracey's film but I think she's the most talented woman in show business. 1991-2 I was channel surfing when I was home recouping from breast cancer and I saw her sitcoms. Every 15 minutes there would be another skit and the show would last for an hour. I religiously watched her program thru the 6 weeks I had radiation. Then I had to go back to work and never saw much of her again. Is anyone out there selling her videos of her show? Think you can tell me where I can purchase them?
Thanks a lot!

Yes, my comment is this. I am from England, the home of Tracey Ullman. No one over here likes her. She is the most annoying comedien we have ever produced here, and that's saying something! Apart from not being funny you must relaise just how irritating it is to hear someone who grew up in the UK speaking with this gross affected US accent. PLease, PLEASE, never let her out of your country!
